RUNNING UNDERLINES

Die Text-Animation Running Underlines entstand durch das Experimentieren mit Schriftzeichen in 3D-Software. Wie auch bei der Serie Notes  ist der Ausgangspunkt die Vorstellung von einem unendlich großen virtuellen Textraum, in den permanent neue Schriftzeichen eingegeben werden, die sich auf unterschiedlichen Bedeutungsebenen hin und her schieben und ständig zu neuen Gebilden formieren. Running Underlines ist als Orts spezifische Installation konzipiert. Die Beschaffenheit der Wand, auf die die Filmschleife projiziert wird, bestimmt den Weg der wandernden Unterstreichungen. Dadurch nimmt die Installation die Atmosphäre des jeweiligen Ausstellungsortes mit in sich auf und reflektiert seine architektonischen Eigenschaften.

RUNNING UNDERLINES

The text animation Running Underlines emerged from experimentation with typographic characters in 3D software. As with the Notes series, the starting point is the idea of an infinitely vast virtual text space into which new characters are continuously entered - shifting back and forth across various layers of meaning and constantly coalescing into new formations. Running Underlines is conceived as a side specific installation. The nature of the wall onto which the film loop is projected determines the path of the moving underlines. In this way, the installation absorbs the atmosphere of the respective exhibition venue and reflects its architectural characteristics
